Step 1. Download the open source program QGIS
You need to download and install the GIS software QGIS in order to run GeoDataFarm, go to and pick Download Now.

When it commes to which version to download, I recommend to download the OSGeo4W network installation (either 32bit or 64bit depending on your computer) and follow step 2. But from version 1.3.0 of GeoDataFarm the latest standalone version of QGIS also works to install!

Step 2. Open the downloaded installation file
* Advanced Installation
* Install from internet
* Choose a location spot for the program (C:\OSGeo4W or c:\OSGeo4W64 is good locations)
* Choose a location spot for the downloading data (the defualt is a good)
* Direct Connection
* ""
* In the list that now follows make sure that following parts has a number (use the search function):

Under "Desktop" choose (press on it to get the highest version):
- qgis: QGIS Desktop
Under "Libs" choose:
- python3-matplotlib
* The installation program will now download and install QGIS for you

Step 3. Launch the program

(Step 4. Change language in QGIS)
QGIS uses the computer system by default, to follow the tutorial you might want to change it like this:
In Swedish it is located under "Inställningar/Alternativ"

Choose Location ("under Allmänt")

Force the system location and choose U.S. English in the menu, to see the changes you need to restart the program.

Step 5. Install GeoDataFarm plugin
To install the GeoDataFarm plugin go to "Plugins"/"Manage and Install Plugins"

The GeoDataFarm plugin has been submitted as an official QGIS plugin and is available in the plugin manager, just search for GeoDataFarm and press install.
